well, just do a yahoo search for insurance quotes. NO ONE charges for quotes.
But keep in mind, most online places, will be harvesting your personal information, and selling to agents as “leads”.

One of the best reasons for using a website to get free quotes is you only have to submit your information once to get multiple quotes, which is much easier than repeating the same thing over and over.
Do remember that some of the sites which offer instant free quotes with minimal information, as well as competitive quotes, are just basing those quotes on your general information, and once they more information, the quotes will probably change (increase!).
My favorite sites for free quotes are insurance-rates-online.com and Insureme.com
