Archive for the ‘health insurance quotes’ Category
We have our own business and I just got the health insurance quotes today. In order to have health insurance it will cost us the same as our mortgage payments. We budgeted in our mortgage payments as if they were to be our largest payment. I guess we were wrong. Is it that way for everyone?
The quotes we got today were just for me, my husband, and our youngest child.
probably hillary clinton, she's really big about universal health care. she likes the idea of making it free for everyone, if she can.
I'm looking for a company that can provide cheap health insurance. I live in Ohio… I'm also looking for websites that provide reliable health insurance quotes….
First, I would make a list of what you are looking for in a health plan and then rank them or group them into categories based on priority. For example, are you more interested in plans that include regular doctor visits or plans that give you more freedom to visit the doctor you want to see? Managed care plans such as HMOs (home maintenance organizations) and PPOs (preferred provider organizations) include preventive care such as regular doctor visits but restrict whom you can see. Traditional fee-for-service (FFS) plans give you freedom to go where you’d like but usually do not cover routine doctor appointments. Just remember that lower monthly premiums don’t always translate into a cheaper insurance policy. If the plan does not cover what you need to cover, then you’ll still end up footing the bill. Moreover, plans with low premiums mean you might be able to afford the low monthly payment, but will you be able to afford the high deductible?
If you’re in your twenties, you might want to check out the “Sound” set of plans from UniCare or the “Tonik” plans from Blue Cross Blue Shield. They have been hyped as offering coverage choices that young adults might be interested in.
You also might want to see what Consumer Reports has to say about health plans. In a survey CR conducted last year, more people were satisfied with HMOs than PPOs, but the study authors noted that this could be a function of lower prices that HMOs offer. (See link below to get to the report).
The best way to see what’s out there is to talk with locally licensed health insurance agents. MostChoice.com – one of the first health insurance Web sites – offers a simple, quick way to get in touch with local agents. All you have to do is fill out a short information request form, and MostChoice will send you free instant quotes from health insurance companies near you. Then, within two days, local insurance agents will contact you to talk about what you’re looking for in an insurance policy. Remember that Web sites are not allowed to offer cheaper prices than insurance agents, so you won’t be spending more on the identical policy if you buy it from an agent. Since there’s no obligation to purchase insurance from the agents that contact you, you are in control. You tell them what you want and wait until one of them delivers the plan that’s right for you.

Hope this helps,

I got quote from like 10 diffrent companies. Anyway the following day I got 3 calls from said companies to give me quotes wich I already recived online that same day I lost my phone i don't have anything other than a cell phone so I was compleatly unable to talk to anyone. (this was monday BTW) I got a new phone today and I had a voice mail from everyday since monday from the same guy. Today's said that I OWED him the courtsy of calling him back and that he's sure I've been busy but that is no excuse to not return his call. Am I just being an ass here or is he being really rude especially since I only wanted quotes online? I relise this is how these people make there money but this man has now cost me almost a dollar in voice mails.
To rely on any one particular sale is a sign of desperation. One follow-up call is understandable, especially if you requested contact, but several calls in the same week is a red flag. It is likely they are out for the sale, and nothing more. To retain a client for many years requires timely service and attention when requested. Hounding a potential customer shows the prospect that the commission is of most importance.
Are there any sites that wont call you? I tried one and the called several times a day for months …. I live in what Im told in one of the top three most expensive states for health insurance also does anyone know about farmers or farm bureau health insurance ??
You need a trusted adviser to help you through the process of purchasing health insurance so that you understand what you are purchasing. Some may suggest going on line to get a quote but you probably already know that there is much more to health insurance than price.
Ultimately, you are the one who determines the affordability of your health insurance plan by deciding how much you will participate in sharing the cost of your health care with your insurance company.
If you choose a plan that covers everything i.e. doctors office visits, prescription drugs, preventative health benefits, maternity coverage as well as low deductibles and low copays your monthly premiums will be significant.
On the other hand if you are young and healthy and rarely use the health care system you could consider a plan that covers only the major health catastrophe which will result in a relatively low monthly premium. You then can use the monthly premium savings to pay for the occasional doctor visit and still come out ahead.
Check with the agent that writes your home or auto insurance he/she can provide you a health insurance proposal that takes into account your budget and health situation.
Use the Internet to educate yourself but use an agent to purchase the coverage.
Just a guess will be ok this is for an assignment.
For a healthy adult between ages 20-35 what would the montly premium in health insurance be for a male and female?
Also, a male between the ages 35-55 and a female/male over the age of 55.
Thanks so much.
This is very difficult to answer because there is no average policy. The premium for an HMO, a PPO and an indemnity plan can vary widely. The premium varies also with the deductible, the co-insurance, the location, the co-pays and what is covered with the policy. The premium goes up greatly with age.
I did a quick quote with some of the companies that I write through and here is the range of premium from lowest premium (also highest deductible and fewest benefits) to highest premium.
Age 20:
M $23 - $224
F $26 - $427
Age 35:
M $31 - $324
F $45 - $553
Age 55:
M $100 - $762
F $100 - $676
Age 62:
M $131 - $822
F $136 - $790
I have looked at almost all of the PC pages and can't find anything about out of province health insurance. I called on the telephone and all I got was a voice but I could not get directed to speak to a person, even though I went to other services and then they disconnected. I want to get a quote.
Try http://www.myinsurancequotes.net. Complete the quote form and a local agent will call you. They will either be able to help you or direct you.

are there any sites for oklahoma health and life insurance quotes?
Well, none of them will be STICKING quotes, over the internet, without massive personal information being given first.
So you're best off just buying through a local agent.
Is there a web site to look up quotes for car and health insurance without having to enter personal information (like my name and address)? I understand zip code, but I don't want the junk mail. Hopefully a web site with multiple places to compare prices?
a google search for insurance comparison brought tons of results, here's one http://gsx1.com/InsuranceComparison.html
not sure about the junk but in the end when I am after insurance myself I might try 50 quotes till I know I am getting rock bottom price so there is always a bit of junk mail etc.
looking for quotes from several insurance companies for health insurance.
You'll be much better off if you go to a local independent agent. This person will know the market and will be able to guide you to a proper policy if you have pre-existing conditions. The premium going through an independent agent is the same as getting quotes on the web.
However, if want to use the Internet here is a website that you can use: http://www.yourhealthplanadvisor.com/ooshealth.html You will get up to 5 different agents calling you.
Whats a good site for getting lots of quotes at once?
A great place for affordable health insurance quotes online is
http://lowcost-healthinsurance.org/
You can find some pretty good plans there.
