There is a site I use all the time. It has insurance advice and also has a link to get free quotes for a bunch of insurance companies. The name of the site is http://freeinsuranceadvice.googlepages.com/
Hope it helps!

I know there will be LOT of insurance people out there ready to start quoting. If you are honest & your name alone speaks volumes. I need really good insuranc . my Insurace went sky high on me on both. Car & home. Had insurance with them since 70's.I nne free quotes bad. EASY ones. I dont understand legal mumbo jumbo. Thank ya'.!

Well, if it went sky high, there's a reason for that. It's time to shop around. Your BEST bet is to find a local, independent agent - because not all companies write in all states.

Also, unless you're in CA, the premiums are now dependent on YOUR CREDIT SCORE. So you'll have to give VERY personal information out to someone, to get quotes. And you're more likely to be happy doing that in person, and not over the internet.

I am 16, female, first time getting insurance. I am thinking about getting a convertible, would my insurance be more? If so about how much more? But black or blue, not red or yellow. One of my friends is my age/sex and hers is about $100/mo. Would mine be about the same, give or take a little? I am trying to come up w/ a budget and see what I can afford so any help will be greatly appreciated! Every "free insurance quote" site you must fill in your EXACT car type or be 18+, I have already tried that.
I am in the US, in a small town (about 5000). I will add myself to my parents' insurance but i'm not sure what that is or if their car/house is the same. Thx for the help everyone!

Well, sorry to say, but to get some idea of a price for insurance, you really need to know what kind of car. Find a couple you like and might be able to afford and call around. The best place to start is your parent's auto ins. company, especially at your age. Pretty much anything is going to be high at your age.

Here's what you need for an auto quote - name, date of birth, soc. sec. #, address, type of car, & coverages you want. You do NOT WANT TO POST SUCH PERSONAL INFORMATION IN AN OPEN FORUM LIKE THIS. I am an agent in Tennessee and unless you live in TN, my rates would be meaningless. As far as the convertible goes, it probably would be higher, most convertibles are. COLOR DOES NOT MATTER.

What are the best sites to get a free quote? Also what is the basic insurance you should get?

the best and cheapest I have found are www.progressive.com, and www.AAA.com , I went shopping last friday. I chose progressive, because I got triple the coverage for half the price I was paying to Allstate! esurance had pretty good prices too.

From the local agents in your area.

Most do not charge to give you a quote.

I'm looking to buy a 94 Chevy c-3500 crew cab, long bed, dually, 4wd, 6.5l diesel, and i want an insurance quote that i don't have to put in my home address, my phone number or anything too personal
i think my license number, zip and street are good enough, they dont need to call me, or mail me, i have used addresses down the block and crap like that, but nothing good enough

Can't be done.
That information is required in oder to give a correct quotation.

I recently found that when I applied for a free rate quote with Geico that they do an undisclosed underwriters credit check on every applicant. None of this information is present anywhere on the website and it took a costomer service agent 15 minutes of looking to give a very vague answer. It sounded like some kind of loop hole because my understanding is that a company cannot run a credit check without customer knowledge and approval.

About the only one out there now is American Family Insurance among the major players.

?????????? free quotes????????????????

I'd suggest you find a local independent agent and give him your information. He can then look through his data base of companies and find the one that best fits your needs. The side benefit is you will have someone to talk to instead of a web page or 800 number at your time of need.

We went to those that advertise all the time and they first quoted us a real low price. But then when you actually speak to a person and they start asking you all kinds of stupid questions like do you own pets and things like that, their rates ended up being HIGHER.

i tried and it a pain. better off going to the insureance company itself or call. then take the one you like better.

Hi,

Where should I go for Free Life Insurance Quotes?

There seem to be a lot of sites - which one should I trust?

Thanks!

Hi There,

There are a lot of sites on the internet that allow you to search and compare free life insurance quotes. The problem is that you don't get a local agent.

My favorite is http://www.quoteandsave.com. They donate a portion of their proceeds to charity.
